Beautifully carved and painted red and gold Santa, holding a potted tree in one hand and a toy bag on his back. This Russian Santa Claus made is hand carved from solid linden, also known as either basswood or lime. Once carved and sanded the Santa is artistically embellished, hand painted and finished in extraordinary detail with numerous coats and finally signed or initialed by the artist.
