This regal Santa reigns over the North Pole with a kind smile and a generous heart. Dressed in a flowing full length coat, Santa's garment is accented with 85 embedded semi precious gems and hints of gold and copper filigree. The design is softly majestic further showing his stately but gentle nature. His traditional Russian fur lined hat exquisitely matches his large Russian coat and bold, broad staff. Santa's staff in one hand shows his strength while a small snowbird in the other displays his kind nature. Santa's full, flowing beard and gentle look in his eyes shows he is prepared for the cold giving season. This Russian Santa Claus is hand carved from solid linden, also known as either basswood or lime. Once carved and sanded the Santa is meticulously hand painted and finished in extraordinary detail with numerous coats and signed by the artist.
