Santa's elegant fur-lined coat is detailed with scenes of Christmas toys and a Christmas tree lined with gold garland. Santa's matching boots, hat and mittens give a look of refinement and sophistication. Santa's square shaped toy bag is uniquely strapped to his bag with golden tethers. A wintry Russian village scene is painted on the back of his toy bag. Intricately painted with red stripes and gold stars, the presents crest above the top of the toy bag. A single pearly red ornament lays fallen in the snow from Santa's overflowing toy bag. This exquisitely carved and painted Santa is covered in time consuming, wood-burned detail and will surely bring a touch of elegance and a welcomed Christmas warmth to any home. This Russian Santa is hand carved from solid linden. Once carved and sanded the Santa is hand painted and finished in extraordinary detail with numerous coats and finally signed by the artist.
