Scenic Russian Santa carving with wood-burned detailing, 360 degrees colorful Christmas scenes and a toy bag loaded with gifts and carved animals, rabbit, bear, rooster, cat, and a tree. Finished in shades of blue this Santa is striking and packed with Christmas charm. The detailing on this Santa is created by a very unique wood burning technique, requiring thousands of individual burn strokes. The hair and beard, dark fur trim, floral patterns, scenes, everything of detail has been burned into the wood prior to applying the beautiful washes of paint. The result is a very rich and textured piece of art. Hand carved, solid wood, one of a kind Santa figure signed by the artist, Dmitrakova.
